Goldwork – Beginners: Floral Wreath Workshop
Saturday 16th September - SOLD OUT

During this full day workshop at the London Embroidery School I will be teaching all about Goldwork purls and threads, how to blend colours with Goldwork materials, and some basic Goldwork techniques such as Couching and Chipping, to name only a few things elements of the floral wreath. 

The project? It will be my original Floral Goldwork Wreath

 

Where? At  Hawthorne & Heaney Studio, 15A Hanover Street London W1S 1YJ

 

When? Saturday 21st October from 10 am to 16.00 Hrs

 

Does it include the supplies? Yes, the workshop includes the kit made by me with all the materials necessary to complete the project and the London Embroidery School has the hoops and clamps for you to sit down and start embroidering!

DESIGN & EMBROIDER A FLORAL PIECE

This is a 5 day course at The Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts

19‑22 Charlotte Road, London, EC2A 3SG, United Kingdom

 

 

Dates: From Monday 6th November to Friday 10th November

Time: 10:00 to 16:30 

 

The class includes the kit with all the materials necessary to complete your project!

What will we do? Mahrukh Bashir will teach you how to construct various types of flowers based on Ottoman motifs. She will then work with you to create your own compositions that will translate effectively to embroidery. You will choose a colour scheme and paint a sample design.

 

Once you have your design ready I will work with you and teach you how to embroider your design using silk shading technique and goldwork!
