Free standard worldwide shipping is available, with tracked shipping available at checkout.
Originally taught as a live online workshop, this introduction to goldwork embroidery is now available for you to enjoy at your own pace, wherever you are in the world.
Learn from the comfort of your own home with 3 hours of detailed, close-up workshop videos (two sessions of approximately 1.5 hours each). The workshop was filmed live during the original class, allowing you to experience the genuine workshop as it happened. Every technique is demonstrated step by step and, with lifetime access, you can pause, rewind and revisit the lessons as often as you wish. There are no schedules, no time zones and no expiry date, just the freedom to stitch whenever it suits you.
Designed especially for beginners, this workshop introduces you to the fundamentals of goldwork embroidery while guiding you through the complete Cornflower Wreath project.
Throughout the workshop you'll learn:
- How to transfer the design onto your fabric
- How to prepare your fabric for goldwork
- How to identify and work with different metal threads and purls
- How to blend colours using purls
- Traditional goldwork techniques including couching, chipping and cutwork
- How to finish your embroidery neatly
- And many more tips and techniques along the way
More experienced embroiderers will also find plenty of inspiration and opportunities to experiment with colour combinations and creative choices throughout the project.

About the workshop videos
The videos were filmed during the original live workshop, so rather than a scripted studio production, you'll experience the class just as my students did. You'll see every demonstration, explanation and technique in real time, with clear close-up views throughout. It's the closest experience to sitting in the classroom with me, and you'll also benefit from the questions and discussions that naturally arose during the workshop.
Accessing your workshop
Once your order has been placed, I will personally send you an email with access to the workshop videos. As I send these manually, please allow a little time for your email to arrive.
If you have any questions about the workshop, please don't hesitate to contact me at info@clarastitching.com.
I look forward to introducing you to the wonderful world of goldwork embroidery.
