MAKE YOUR OWN BUTTERFLY: The butterfly kits sold out but upon request of some of my dearest students I've decided to add an option so that you don't miss this workshop.
Instead of the kit please choose a goldwork supplies bundle of your choice and I will add you the extras to complete your butterfly such as the pattern, felt, wire and vinyl. This way you will be able to make your own version of the butterfly using the same techniques demonstrated during the workshop.

This workshop will be taught in two sessions via Zoom
All sessions were recorded for you to have for future reference or in case you cannot attend and the links to recordings do not have an expiration date, so you can watch them whenever at your convenience.
 
First Session: Saturday 13th July from 7 pm (BST) to 9 pm (BST)
 
Second Session: Saturday 20th July from 7pm (BST) to 9 pm (BST)

For those of you who want to take goldwork techniques further this is the perfect chance! Not only you will learn the technique to create this butterfly but I will also give you advice on how you can design your own butterfly if you wish to make different ones.
 
During these sessions you will learn all the process from the very beginning when you trace the pattern to the last stitch of the design.
 
Apart from what's included in the kit you will need:
 
- 6 inches hand free embroidery hoop
- Goldwork embroidery scissors or embroidery scissors that you will use only to cut metals. 
- Embroidery scissors
- A velvet board or soft surface to cut the metals (i.e. a piece of felt)
- Mellor (optional - you can also use one of the chenille needles included in the kit)
- Heat erasable pen for fabric such as PILOT FriXion Clicker Erasable Gel ink pen
- Tweezers (optional)
- Wire cutter for jewelry (optional)
 
During this workshop I will be teaching you all the necessary techniques to complete the project but some experience in embroidery is recommended. If you have any questions about this you can contact me and we can discuss it.
 
This is a workshop aimed for those that would like to take goldwork techniques a bit further and you will learn how to make this butterfly using goldwork and stumpwork techniques.
