This kit includes everything you need to create the orange Koi Fish brooch, together with detailed written instructions (PDF) and lifetime access to the full workshop recordings. You can follow the process at your own pace, revisiting each step as needed.
 
Through this project, you will learn how to build and embroider the Koi Fish using a range of goldwork techniques, and how to finish it as a brooch.

The kit includes all the materials to complete the orange Koi Fish shown in the photos: fabric, threads, sequins, felt, metals, needles, brooch pin, and more.
 
You will also need:
 
8-inch hands-free embroidery hoop
Goldwork embroidery scissors (or scissors reserved only for cutting metals)
Embroidery scissors
A velvet board or soft surface to cut metals
Mellor (optional, you can also use one of the chenille needles included in the kit)
Heat erasable fabric pen (such as Pilot FriXion) or a pencil
Awl or similar tool to pierce the fabric
 
The recordings also include guidance on creating alternative versions of the fish using the same pattern, exploring different goldwork techniques and composition ideas to develop your own piece.
